Following advice to IDBs from DEFRA which suggests that in general the size of a Board should be between 13 and 21 members, the Board has agreed to reconstitute, reducing the number of members to 15. This should see fewer vacant seats, more contested elections and better attendance at meetings. This process is underway and we hope it will be completed before the term of office of the existing Board expires on 31st October 2019, however, should this not be the case, an election will be necessary and the Register of Electors has been prepared accordingly
